Absolute and Gauge

Pressure transmitters for continuous measurement in liquids and gases

Absolute and gauge pressure transmitters provide a safe measurement of liquids and gases in various applications.  Used for measuring process pressure and hydrostatic level.  With a wide range of materials and approvals available to suit any installation and environment such as hygienic, SIL, and explosion protection certification.  Feel free to contact us to discuss your application further. 

Absolute and Gauge pressure measuring principle:

Metallic cell: The operating pressure deflects the metallic process isolating diaphragm and a fill fluid transfers the pressure to a resistance bridge.  The pressure-dependent change in the bridge output voltage is measured and evaluated.

Ceramic cell: The operating pressure deflects a Ceramic diaphragm and the deflection is measured directly with no fluid filling. Ceramic measuring cells are ideal for vacuum applications and where chemical compatibility or abrasion could damage metallic cells.

Differential

Pressure transmitters for continuous measurement in liquids and gases

Differential pressure transmitters with piezoresistive pressure sensors and welded metallic membrane or with a diaphragm seal are used mostly in the process industry. The Endress+Hauser Deltabar offers continuous level measurement in liquids as well as volume or mass flow measurement using primary elements. 

Differential Pressure measuring principle:

Differential (dP) pressure transmitters have two measuring diaphragms combined into one cell. The difference in process pressure applied to each diaphragm is output as the measured value. Differential transmitters offer very high accuracy at extremely small measuring ranges and can be used for process pressure, hydrostatic level, and flow measurement applications. Electronic dP transmitters are also available where the limitations of traditional dP transmitters are reached.
